Have you had your fill of superhero goodness yet?
Well, if you have than you’re about to blow because Warner Bros., just today, released a brand new Wonder Woman trailer and it’s every bit as exciting as the first one!
It starts off in modern day with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), basically an immortal, looking at old pictures of herself with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and other soldiers in WWI.
But it actually starts off seeing Diana of Themyscira watching as Steve Trevor’s plane crashes into the ocean. Diana jumps into the ocean to save him, and with that, we’re off to the races!
We see lots of new action set pieces, see more scenes with familiar characters while also meeting some new ones. And, of course, we get to see some dangerous enemy weapons that threaten to destroy the world if Wonder Woman doesn’t step in to stop them.
And step in she does! Though it seems her mother does not want her to fight, she exclaims, “I cannot stand by while more innocent lives are lost.” Then, it would seem, that Diana is so determined that she actually steals her sword and her shield to go save humanity.
Then, of course, the most defining moment for Wonder Woman, the moment that shows her character at its brightest, is when they are in the trenches. While the men argue tactics, Wonder Woman takes action, climbs the ladder into the killing fields and makes a steady march to the enemy side, deflecting bullets, dodging rockets and eventually ending up on the other side.
And then, of course, there’s that moment where she flies out of a pit and hits the ground running.
