Believe in Wonder.
That’s how Gal Gadot showed off the newest poster for Wonder Woman, the next big installment into the DCEU from Warner Bros, on her Facebook page. The film hits the multiplex June 2 of this year, and will see the origin story of the character that Gadot first played in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Early on, we heard rumblings that the film was a mess, but recently, we’ve heard great things about the film and that it very well could turn things around for the DCEU. That said, we don’t yet know what to expect from the film, but we do know that we very much want it to be great!
In the mean time, while we’re waiting for a new trailer that might give us that one last little tidbit of information to get excited about — like where is Ares, how does he look and what exactly is Wonder Woman up against — Ms. Gadot gave us a new poster for us to all get over-analyze and pick apart.
In the poster, we see Diana of Themyscira presumably on a beach in Paradise Island. She’s in full armor, kneeling in the sand, her sword at the ready as the wind blows through her hair. Her face is one of both focus but compassion, as if her default mode of operating is diplomacy, but the sword and focus certainly remind you that she can cut your ass apart. She’s willing to utilize either form to end the fight — it’s up to her enemies to determine how they are defeated.
We’re all certainly hoping to believe in wonder when June 2 finally rolls around!
