Originally slated to be released early this summer, Wonder Woman 1984 has been pushed to August 14, 2020. The delay hasn’t curbed our excitement over the Wonder Woman sequel and the closer we get to seeing Gal Gadot on the big screen, the more sneak peeks are released.
Ready To Fight
While we still only have the one trailer, we have been graced with plenty of images lately. The latest collection comes from Empire Magazine. Not only have they released their June 2020 cover, they’ve released their subscriber-exclusive cover, too. Both covers feature Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) in her super hero uniform with her lasso of truth ready to take on any adversary.
Aside from the two covers, Empire has released three additional images. One is a spread with Wonder Woman going head-to-head against Barbara Minvera (Kristen Wiig). The second is our leading lady getting ready for battle in her shiny new armor. The final image, though not mid-battle, is a romantic shot of Diana with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) embracing in a dance in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.

Accompanying the images is an interview with Gadot, who talks about Steve Trevor’s return to Diana, more than half a century after his disappearance in the first film, and how Diana has changed by the time the 1980s roll around. The June issue of Empire is available now, for those that want to read more. See the images that Empire released below, including the two covers. Hopefully the COVID-19 pandemic subsides enough for the August theatrical release to happen.
