If Data Is Destiny, Then You Chart the Path.
Westworld fans love a good mystery and HBO is serving up just that with the first teaser for the third season of the science fiction show which blurs the lines even further between humans and androids. Take notes, fans. You’ll need them for your new theories after you see this.
At the end of last season, viewers got to see that Westworld’s androids were (some already had) going to leave the confines of the theme park and go out in to the real world.
This new teaser is a commercial for the fictitious company Incite. Co-founder Liam Dempsey Sr. tells us that the world is complicated and messy, but life doesn’t have to be. “The future is powered by you, and we know you.” Um, creepy.
It ends with Dempsey touching his heart and saying, “With Incite, the only choice you’ll have to make is us,” then there’s a close-up of a green eye, presumably Dempsey’s and it’s a robotic eye. He’s an android running a tech company named “Incite,” not “Insight” just to be clear. Cue the robot rebellion.

There’s also a link to go to Incite’s website where Westworld fans can mine for more information. You can put in your email to have them send you a “demo. ” I haven ‘t received the demo yet but I’m excited and perhaps a little trepidatious on what’s going to show up in my inbox.
Other Minor Thoughts:
- who is the other co-founder?
- Is there a Liam Dempsey Jr?
- The actor in the ad, Jefferson Mays, is always so very good. If you’re a The Expanse fan, check out the audiobooks. Mays narrates the entire series and he’s fantastic.
