With the Westworld premiere less than a week away, the HBO publicity machine is going into overdrive. Today we get not one, but two new looks at the new show where hard science fiction meets classic western.
First on deck, HBO invites you to go behind the scenes again. Hammering home the question of reality vs fantasy and, if you can’t tell the difference, does it matter? This duality has been present throughout everything and is the main subject of the series. Artificial vs real, fantasy vs reality, good vs evil and the grey that exists between. It promises to be a heady ride and I can’t wait for October 2nd.
Next up, a new promo putting Maeve (Thandie Newton) and Dolores (Evan Rachel Woods) in the spotlight. The two main female hosts, from what we can tell from the promos, are put front and center, again exploring the dual nature of their existence. What is reality and what is a dream.
