Wayward Pines is a new psychological thriller coming to FOX on Thursday, May 14. The show boasts all the ingredients necessary for solid, fun Twilight Zone’ish hour of television. It has a solid cast: Matt Dillon, Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Patricia Leo, Julliette Lewis and Reed Diamond. Also, the show is executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan.
The trope is a common one. Someone, this time – Matt Dillon, enters a place and then finds out that they cannot leave. Ever.
The only iffy thing is that the show ends up all style and no substance. Here’s to hoping that doesn’t happen and we get a fun mystery to watch on Thursday nights!
A Secret Service agent goes to Wayward Pines, Idaho, in search of two federal agents who have gone missing in the bucolic town. He soon learns that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.
