The Midnight Walk
MoonHood and Fast Travel Games are back with The Midnight Walk. This dark fantasy adventure borders on horror. Players befriend an adorable lantern creature that will help guide them through this world of wonder and terror. What really drew our eye was the use of real clay to create the world, characters, and monsters that are shot in stop motion style, along with animation. It reminds us heavily of Tim Burton movies mixed with games like Little Nightmares. It will also launch with a VR version to allow players to enjoy another level of spooky immersion.
The Midnight Walk launches on May 8, 2025. Players can find it on PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5.
DOOM: The Dark Ages
Get ready to rip and tear–Medieval style. DOOM: The Dark Ages, from id Software, is the latest installment in the epic first-person shooter saga. The Dark Ages is a prequel to DOOM (2016) and follows the rise of the Doom Slayer as he defends a Medieval kingdom from Hellish horrors. Take a stand against evil using the brand new Shield Saw and an enormous mech suit called the Atlan. Slay through hordes of demons on your very own cybernetic dragon, complete with fire breath and a Gatling gun. Now that’s metal as Hell.
DOOM: The Dark Ages is set to release on May 13, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.

Lost Souls Aside
Ultizero Games and PlayStation Publishing have joined forces to bring Lost Souls Aside. This action-adventure RPG puts the world’s fate in your hands. When mysterious dimensional invaders decide to attack Kaser and Louisa’s home world, Kaser has no choice but to step up and fight. There is a lot of lore to explore within this game, along with an entire world to venture through. It gives us the feel of current-day JRPGs with incredible storytelling, action and art direction, making this a must-play video game in May.

Abandoned Planet
Abandoned Planet is a throw-back, retro-inspired, point-and-click adventure with chunky and beautiful pixel art developed by Dexter Team Games. When a wormhole tears open in space, an astronaut is hurled down and crashes on a distant planet. But where is she? Where are all the inhabitants of the planet? And how is she going to get back home? Solve the puzzle and piece together the mystery in this 2D, pixel art, first-person, point-and-click adventure.
This throw-back, causal puzzle game is fully voice-acted and beautifully animated. There is a large, lush world to explore with a vintage vibe that reminds us of the old Sierra Entertainment games, but in space. I love adventure games and cannot wait to pick this up.
Abandoned Planet was previously released for PC via Steam and mobile platforms. A Nintendo Switch launch is coming May 8, 2025.
