It’s been a rather long second month of the year, but finally, March is right around the corner. And, while we were hoping to be able to share our excitement to finally get the chance to dive into Tales of the Shire and Bloom & Rage Tape 2, they have been delayed. However, there is still quite a lot to be excited about on the new video game release front. So settle in and find out what made our list for March’s most anticipated video games.

Split Fiction
Hazelight Studios is back with another exciting co-op adventure game. In Split Fiction, players work together to navigate sci-fi and fantasy authors Mio and Zoe through their own stories after being trapped in them. This is a true co-op experience where player one needs to rely on player two to help solve puzzles, travel through each level and fight bosses. If you loved their first game, It Takes Two, you are certain to love this one. The sci-fi and fantasy levels swap back and forth as we go from one author’s story to another, and they are sure to help amp up the excitement.
Split Fiction drops on March 6, 2025. Players can find it on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Wanderstop
Wanderstop is a complex cozy game about how life changes and making tea. Inspired by the creative director’s, Davey Wreden, experiences with extreme burnout and life fatigue, this game subverts the expectation that all cozy game protagonists participate joyously in their mundane task loops. Davey also worked on the Stanley Parable, so I expect the narrative to be introspective and engaging.
Playing as a fallen fighter named Alta, you’ll manage a tea shop within a magical forest and tend to the customers who pass through. But Alta does not want to be here. And if she gets her way, the tea shop will be nothing but a brief and painful memory.
Wanderstop is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on March 11, 2025.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows
It has felt like a neverending wait for Ubisoft’s next installment to their long-running franchise, but Assassin’s Creed Shadows is almost here. This time, we are traveling to Feudal Japan to become shinobi assassins and legendary samurais. Like their other installments, everything we have seen about the world is beautiful. They have shared clips from castle towns to ports to beautiful shrines. And while we love getting the chance to explore literal artwork within a video game, we can’t forget to share how excited we are for this story and adventure. So whether you want to hide in the shadows as Naeo or charge head-on as Yasuke, there is much to love about this upcoming game.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows drops on March 20, 2025. Players can find it on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Dungeons of Hinterberg
Last year, players had the chance to discover the magic and lore of the Alps in Microbird Games and Curve Games’ Dungeons and Hinterberg. Now, the relaxing puzzle game is jumping to the PlayStation platform. For those who have not had the chance to enjoy it, this game is an absolute delight. Play as Luisa and leave the struggles of corporate life to go on a dungeon-exploring vacation. It’s beautiful and relaxing, and we couldn’t help but get lost in the world for hours just enjoying the atmosphere.
Dungeons of Hinterberg makes the jump to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 13, 2025.
