It doesn’t even come out until November 3rd, but tickets are already on sale through Fandango.
Apparently, people are excited to see this movie.
What movie is that?
Thor: Ragnarok, with Chris Hemsworth reprising the god of thunder role for a fifth time. In this film, he ends up on the super far off planet of Sakaar where he fights the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in a gladiator game before then taking off to fight Hela with a team of heroes. And just what is the name of that team?
As Thor stumbles over it in this new TV trailer, his team is called “The Revengers.”
You heard that correctly; we have a new TV trailer released for the film that will see Thor, Hulk, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) teaming up to take down the threat of Hela, played by Cate Blanchett.
The trailer doesn’t really give us any humongous reveals, at least not anything that we haven’t already seen, though it does give us a couple moments worth noting.
The trailer starts of with a crowd running into a stadium to watch the “main event,” as declared by a gigantic floating hologram of Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster. This is the big fight between Thor and Hulk.
From there, we see footage we’ve seen before, of Hulk and Thor fighting in the arena, Hulk fighting Fenris Wolf — who’s coming foretells the fall of Asgard and the coming of Ragnarok — and Hela luxuriating in the death she’s wrought. Though, in this sequence we get a clip of something we’ve not yet seen — Thor fighting a fire giant. It’s entirely possible that this fire giant is actually Surtur, the King of Muspelheim where it’s rumored Thor starts the film.
It should be noted here that this actually makes sense as Thor has longer hair in this sequence, which indicated that he has not yet lost his godly locks for the gladiator fights.
Also, it appears that this fire giant is also holding a sword, which could be the Twilight Sword which would give even more credence to this being Surtur.
Finally, in the end, we get a new bit of comedy with Thor telling Valkyrie that this new team he’s putting together is called “The Revengers,” though he stumbles over that name before getting a weird look from Bruce Banner (Ruffalo) and then admitting his team doesn’t have a name or need one.
You can watch the trailer below, where we’ve embedded it for your convenience.
