That is definitely bigger than the last one.
The first trailer for the sequel to 1996’s hit action, alien film Independence Day has arrived. The film takes place 30 years after the alien invasion and humanity has incorporated the technology of the the alien race they defeated into their own weapons and technology. Now the aliens have come back to finish what they started but their technology has improved as well.
Will Smith is not in this film but original cast members Jeff Goldblum, Judd Hirsch, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Sela Ward are plus new blood, Liam Hemsworth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher and Maika Monroe. Roland Emmerich is back at the helm as director.
A nice touch in the trailer is having Bill Pulman’s presidential speech from the original movie played over the action of the trailer – very exciting. I’m in.
