Daredevil has released another teaser trailer sneak peek at the three main heroes for the upcoming second season of their hit Marvel series, which hits Netflix next Friday, March 18th.

In it, we see Daredevil spinning his billy clubs, Elektra spinning one of her Sais and Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher, raising a pretty massive gun up to his shoulder.

They keep much of the details of the costumes hidden by shadow and various camera angles, so it’s hard to make out if Punisher has his notorious white skull on his chest, though in one shot it looks like he certainly has the impression on one.

Along with the visuals, we also hear each hero give, more or less, a one line summation of their perspective on fighting crime and keeping the city safe.

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) says, “If I take a night off, people get hurt.”

Elektra (Elodie Yung) has a more forceful philosophy, saying, “You don’t get what you want by day. You take it by force at night.”

Finally, we hear Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) say, “I think that this world, it needs men that are willing to make the hard call.”

Amazingly, each of these quotes perfectly summarizes each of their characters. Matt Murdock is a sacrificial saint of a fighter, Elektra’s morals are questionable and typically self-centered while Frank Castle is all about doing what he sees as the right thing, even when it’s something he doesn’t necessarily want to do.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this video isn’t the video itself, but the caption posted on Twitter along with it that reads, “An ancient evil is coming. Time to suit up.”

Certainly, The Hand is an ancient clan that has their roots deep into history, but they are already in Hell’s Kitchen. Matt Murdock has already fought them to some degree. It seems more likely that this “ancient evil” is something more along the lines of the Beast of the Hand, a sort of patron demon of the clan that is brought forth to possess various leaders of the clandestine group. In the Shadowlands story, which a lot of nerds online believe to be somewhat referred to in this upcoming season, the demon possessed Matt Murdock.
