Today we were gifted with more footage from The Last Jedi and the making of the film. Not only were we shown continuations of shots we’ve previously seen, but we also got looks at great set pieces. And even more of a bonus, we were hinted at further plot points. It’s all exciting so let’s break down some of what we were shown.
First, director and writer Rian Johnson gushes about being on the Millennium Falcon. What’s most notable about the Falcon footage is Rey (Daisy Ridley) in her Jedi training gear laughing at Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron. Poe is going for his first ride on the Falcon! Unless it’s a happenstance that Isaac was on set, but we’re doubting it. We also see that R2 and Threepio board the Falcon at some point.
Our next big shot shows Finn (John Boyega), Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) and even DJ (Benicio del Toro)! They’re dressed in First Order gear, infiltrating somewhere. We’re expecting it to be the First Order base we saw on fire in the latest trailer. So not only so we know that Finn and Rose go to the base by DJ will be there as well. Wonder if he’ll be up to no good.

As for sets, the reproduction of Ahch-To’s caves look massive! We would say they’re in the cave that Luke (Mark Hamill) and Rey are in during the events in the trailer. We also got a better look at Supreme Leader Snoke’s (Andy Serkis) throne room. The red and black set is opulent and even menacing in size and design. We even have a quick shot of Rey near a helmet less Praetorian Guard, doubling down on the confirmation that Rey will be going to Snoke’s throne room.
I love these behind the scenes videos because not only do we see more scenes, but we also get to hear from the actors and director on creating the film. It’s one of the more fascinating aspects for the film, so just seeing how it was made is also a joy. Do you agree with that? Let us know!
