New SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Poster Gives a New Angle on Things

About a month away from the premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story, a new poster for the film was released Thursday.  It features the full main cast, as we know it, in new ways and ready for action.  And, let’s face it, Lando steals the show again.

Excitement is rising for the Han Solo centered spin-off.  In fact there’s been a lot of excitement on the internet with people borrowing Han’s line ‘I’ve got a good feeling about this.’  And, of course there’s a buzz in the air about Lando’s flirtatious behavior in the last trailer.

The poster features a collage of characters in the style that we’ve become familiar with in Star Wars posters.  We see Q’ra (Emilia Clarke) in a new, more glamorous pose, next to Chewbacca and Han (Alden Ehrenreich) at center.  Those three are the focus, of course.  We get to see Val (Thandie Newtwon) and Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) in battle poses.  That’s cool.  And, Paul Bettany is featured in this poster, having been revealed as crime lord Dryden Vos in the recent trailer for the film.

But, let’s talk Lando (Donald Glover).  To put it in the words of one GGA contributor, ‘Jeebus, look at that Lando swag!’  Jeebus, indeed.  Glover is so seriously channeling those Billy Dee Williams eyes, I can’t even take it.  I don’t know how anyone could resist it.  Han included.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will blast into theaters May 24th.  We’re excited!  Are you?
