With networks about to go into their holiday hiatus and our favorite television shows coming up on their midseason finales, it’s time to start looking ahead to what we can look forward to in 2016. Very much at the forefront of this group is ABC’s upcoming Marvel series, Agent Carter.
This midseason mini-series will see Hayley Atwell reprising her Captain America role as Agent Peggy Carter, who’s been relocated to the West coast. She’s still with Jarvis (James D’Arcy), still trying to build S.H.I.E.L.D. and still kicking as much ass as is humanly possible.
Seriously, who’s the person frozen in ice and why are they frozen in ice? Is this linked to Captain America in any way at all?
Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
Marvel’s Agent Carter premieres January 5th with a two-hour premiere and will then run for eight more episodes.
