Welcome to another edition of What’s New on TV. This week, things are a bit slower than usual, but there are still good premieres to tune into. Get ready because things are about to get good.

A Japanese fan-favorite show is coming back to Hulu for its second season. Uzo Aduba takes the lead on Netflix’s The Residence. And Ashley Newbrough, Steve Lund and Mindy Cohn bring romance to Hallmark Channel.

Some exciting series, including one about a serial killer, are premiering this week. Here’s what’s new on TV for March 16-22.

NEW ON TV, MARCH 16-22

March 19 – Gannibal

As it did during Season 1, Gannibal Season 2 focuses on officer Daigo Agawa. The upcoming eight episodes will find Agawa struggling to overcome his inner darkness. At the same time, he must fight to take down the Goto Family and put an end to the practices of cannibalism in the village.

Gannibal Season 2 premieres Wednesday, March 19 at Midnight/11c on Hulu.

March 19 – Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures

The second season of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures returns this week on Disney+. The animated series continues to tell the story of the Jedi younglings studying the ways of the Force while helping citizens and creatures in need.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Season 2 returns Wednesday, March 19 at 3/2 am on Disney+.

March 20 – Happy Face

Paramount+ is bringing the story of the Happy Face Killer to the screen. The series follows the story of Melissa Jesperson-Moore, who discovered her father was a serial murderer when she was 15 years old. The Happy Face Killer is known for murdering women in the 1990s and drawing smiley faces in his letters to the media and authorities. Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid and James Wolk are the leads.

Happy Face premieres Thursday, March 20 at 3/2 am on Paramount+.

March 20 – The Residence

Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Randall Park and Susan Kelechi Watson are some of the many faces in Netflix’s newest series, The Residence. The show focuses on an eccentric detective who must solve a murder in the White House. There are 132 rooms, 157 suspects and a disastrous State Dinner.

The Residence premieres Thursday, March 20 at 3/2 am on Netflix.

March 20 – Wolf King

Animated series for adults have always been beloved among viewers, and Wolf King won’t be any different. The British show tells the story of a young boy during his coming-of-age time in life. He discovers he is the last member of a long line of werewolves and must step up to take the throne.

Wolf King premieres Thursday, March 20 at 3/2 am on Netflix.

March 22 – Hearts Around the Table: Jenna’s First Love

Jenna and Andrew used to date. Now, they must work together to plan a charity event for Tom Redlands. Even though Jenna wants to do her best, working with Andrew is more distracting and difficult than expected. Ashley Newbrough, Steve Lund and Mindy Cohn are the stars in Hallmark’s newest movie.

Hearts Around the Table: Jenna’s First Love premieres Saturday, March 22 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel.
