Welcome to another edition of What’s New on TV. This week, everyone’s favorite doctor is back on Disney+. Get ready because things are about to get good.
The Handmaid’s Tale cast is back for one last season. Ava and Deborah become enemies for Hacks Season 4. And everyone’s favorite dystopian series, Black Mirror, is back for another season.
Some exciting series, including a documentary, are premiering this week. Here’s what’s new on TV for April 6-12.
NEW ON TV, APRIL 6-12
April 6 – Lazarus
Lazarus is the story of how the world came together to find a vaccine to save their lives. In 2025, Dr. Skinner created a drug called Hapna that was considered a miracle. However, three years later, he announced that everyone who took the drug would soon die. To stop that from happening, five agents come together to find Skinner and create a cure.
Lazarus premieres Sunday, April 6 at Midnight/11c on Adult Swim.

April 8 – The Handmaid’s Tale
After nearly a decade, The Handmaid’s Tale returns this week for its sixth and final season. Does this show have a possibility of a happy or positive ending? Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, Samira Wiley and Bradley Whitford come back for this season. Josh Charles joins the cast for an undisclosed role.
The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 premieres Tuesday, April 8 at Midnight/11c on Hulu.
April 8 – Spy High
If docuseries are your thing, Prime Video releases Spy High this week. The four-part documentary tells the story of Blake Robbinson as he filed a lawsuit claiming his school was spying on him. After being accused of selling drugs, Robbinson fought back by stating his very prestigious public school had been spying on students. The war over digital privacy continues to this day.
Spy High premieres Tuesday, April 8 at 3/2 am on Prime Video.

April 10 – Black Mirror
Everyone’s favorite dystopian TV series is back this week for its seventh season on Netflix. This season has six episodes and includes the talents of actors like Rashida Jones, Chris O’Dowd, Tracee Ellis Ross, Siena Kelly, Rosy McEwen and many more. The first episode is the story of a schoolteacher who suffers from a medical emergency that leaves her in the hospital fighting for her life. To save her, her husband, Mike, signs up for a high-tech system called Rivermind to keep her alive.
Black Mirror Season 7 premieres Thursday, April 10 at 3/2 am on Netflix.
April 10 – Moonrise
The Earth is at peace while the Moon finds itself fighting for independence. Suddenly, a rebel force decides to attack Earth, and an heir becomes the prime suspect. To find out who is truly causing chaos on the Moon, the heir joins a special military unit.
Moonrise premieres Thursday, April 10 at 3/2 am on Netflix.

April 10 – North of North
Anna Lambe, Jay Ryan and Mary Lynn Rajskub are some of the actors in Netflix’s newest series, North of North. The show follows Siaja an Inku mother who is looking to reinvent herself. She lives in a tiny Arctic community called Ice Cove, where keeping your business to yourself is nearly impossible. After choosing to leave her marriage, she now navigates motherhood, a new job, and people talking about her.
North of North premieres Thursday, April 10 at 3/2 am on Netflix.
April 10 – Hacks
Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder are back for Hacks Season 4. After Ava’s move at the end of Season 3, their dynamics have changed completely, but they must find a way to work together to kick off their late-night show and make history. Deborah moves from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, and Ava moves from being a writer to being Deborah’s biggest blackmailer. What could possibly go wrong?
Hacks Season 4 premieres Thursday, April 10 at 9/8c on MAX.

April 11 – Your Friends & Neighbors
Jon Hamm plays a former financial titan who now faces the loss of his marriage and his job. To stay afloat and survive in a very wealthy neighborhood, he starts robbing his neighbors and friends. Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, Mark Tallman and Donovan Colan are some of the actors who join Hamm for this TV show.
Your Friends & Neighbors premieres Friday, April 11 at Midnight/11c on Apple TV+.
April 11 – The Gardener
At a simple glance, Elmer and his mother, La China Jurado, are a mother-son duo who manage a garden center. Under the surface, the duo also manages a murder-for-hire business. Elmer finds killing very easy because he is emotionless. Things change for him when their next victim becomes Violeta, a nursery school teacher. The former emotionless Elmer ends up falling in love with her and having to protect her from his mother.
The Gardener premieres Thursday, April 11 at 3/2 am on Netflix.

April 12 – Doctor Who
The TARDIS team faces new challenges and dangers as the Doctor meets Belinda and begins the quest to get her back to Earth. Season 2 of this well-known franchise is coming to Disney+ with Ncuti Gatwa, Varada Sethu, Millie Gibson, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave and Susan Twist.
Doctor Who premieres Saturday, April 12 at 3/2 am on Disney+.
