Welcome to another edition of What’s New on TV. This week, get ready because things are about to get good.
The Asterix & Obelix, a well-known story, is taking an animated form in a new French series. Tina Fey and Steve Carell are reuniting for The Four Seasons. And Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are back on Prime Video with a sequel to their movie A Simple Favor.
Some exciting movies, including an Argentine one, are premiering this week. Here’s what’s new on TV for April 27 – May 3.
NEW ON TV, APRIL 27 – May 3
April 27 – Murder at the Derby
Ronni Hawk, Daniel O’Reilly and Kate Watson star in Lifetime’s newest movie, Murder at the Derby. The film tells the story of Kara as she begins working at a prestigious horse stable with Jennifer. As Jennifer takes Kara under her wing, her brother Stephen becomes very jealous and puts everyone’s lives at risk.
Murder at the Derby premieres Sunday, April 27 at 8/7c on Lifetime.

April 30 – Carême
Antonin Carême’s dream was always to begin a chef in Paris. As his career continued to grow in Napoleon’s Europe and he hit stardom, many politicians turned their attention to him. Apple TV+’s series, Carême, tells the story of this chef as he was recruited to become a spy for France. Determined to reach his goals and continue succeeding, he must decide if he is ready to risk his life and soul for power.
Carême premieres Wednesday, April 30 at Midnight/11c on Apple TV+.
April 30 – Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight
The new animated series on Netflix tells the story of Asterix & Obelix. This version of their story focuses on what happens when the two men have to stand up and defend their village. As the druid Getafix forgets the recipe for the magic potion, the famous duo must face the Roman conquerors who are looking to use a Gallic law against them.
Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight premieres Wednesday, April 30 at 3/2 am on Netflix.

April 30 – The Eternaut
Argentina’s Ricardo Darín, Ariel Staltari, Carla Peterson and Andrea Pietra star in Netflix’s newest series, The Eternaut. The show tells the story of a toxic snowfall that falls in Buenos Aires and kills millions of people. Juan Salvo becomes the leader of a group of survivors that must resist the threat and create a new way of life in the world after the snow.
The Eternaut premieres Wednesday, April 30 at 3/2 am on Netflix.
April 30 – Exterritorial
Jeanne Goursaud stars in Exterritorial. The film tells the story of an ex-Special Forces soldier who survived a traumatizing mission and must now embark on a new one that hits too close to home. After her son disappears in a U.S. consulate in Frankfurt, Germany, she must take the lead in the investigation and find out what happened to him. Meanwhile, German authorities claim her son was never seen.
Exterritorial premieres Wednesday, April 30 at 3/2 am on Netflix.

May 1 – The Four Seasons
Tina Fey and Steve Carell come together again for Netflix’s The Four Seasons. The series also includes Marco Calvani, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Erika Henningsen and Kerri Kenney-Silver. The series follows six old friends who get together for a weekend getaway. As they set out to enjoy themselves and relax, they learn that one of the couples in the group is about to split up. The series is an adaptation of Alan Alda’s big-screen comedy of the same name.
The Four Seasons premieres Thursday, May 1 at 3/2 am on Netflix.
May 1 – Another Simple Favor
If you enjoyed A Simple Favor, you are set to enjoy Another Simple Favor as well. Prime Video’s movie reunites Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, joined by Allison Janney, Joshua Satine, Alex Newell and Bashir Salahuddin. The film follows the duo as they reunite in Capri, Italy, when Emily invites Stephanie to her wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Things change when there is a murder.
Another Simple Favor premieres Thursday, May 1 at 3/2 am on Prime Video.

May 2 – Unseen
Unseen Season 2 finds Zenzi as she continues to face the dangers of a criminal syndicate that murdered her husband and son. Her only goal is to bring the syndicate down, but the only way to do so is by trusting the people who put her behind bars. In order to achieve her freedom and put an end to her grief, she must rely on people she doesn’t want to.
Unseen Season 2 premieres Friday, May 2 at 3/2 am on Netflix.
