Marvel's The Defenders Netflix

San Diego Comic Con is next week and then, before you know it, it’ll be August 18th, known to Marvel fans as Defenders Day. Well, maybe not — maybe that’s something we’re making up, but we’re all pretty excited for it and believe that the series deserves it’s own day.

In anticipation of that release and excited for next week’s Comic Con down in San Diego, Entertainment Weekly has released a poster, drawn by Marvel TV Creative Director Joshua James Shaw, that shows our four reluctant heroes in color-coded squares. We’ve got Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in red, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in purple, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) in yellow and Iron Fist Danny Rand (Finn Jones) in green.

It’s likely that we’ll get a brand new trailer for the series, which lands on Netflix just a couple weeks after SDCC.

Speaking of brand new trailers, it’s likely that we’ll get our first look at something from The Punisher, which sees Jon Bernthal reprising the role he established in the second season of Daredevil. The series has been wrapped for sometime now and we’ve yet to see anything from it save for a few behind-the-scenes photos. However, that will all change next week with SDCC as EW confirms that Jon Bernthal will be in San Diego to promote his new series. In anticipation of that, we’ve also got a new poster for The Punisher, drawn by Marvel Entertainment Chief Creative Officer (and legend) Joe Quesada.

If you wanna get your hands on either of these posters, they’ll be available at the Marvel Booth, #2329.
