Perhaps the time has finally come for the world to get a good Ghost Rider adaptation from comics to screen. Yes, we know it’s not up on that big silver screen, and we know that it’s not either of the original Ghost Riders, Danny Ketch or Johnny Blaze, but this is the best chance we’ve ever had to see Ghost Rider realized at his best.

Marvel’s Spirit of Vengeance is making his small screen debut on ABC’s Agents of SHIELD this fall in the Season Four Premiere. Played by Gabriel Luna, the newest Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, will roar on to our screens, not on a flaming motorcycle, but in a flaming muscle car.

By the by, here is what Mr. Reyes looks like in the comics.

Along with the synopsis for the Season Four Premiere, embedded below, we’ve got a couple great promotional pictures of Luna as Robbie Reyes.

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - "The Ghost" (ABC/Jennifer Clasen) GABRIEL LUNA

In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack, and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. Agent May is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz and Simmons have taken a big step forward in their relationship.
