Clone Club, it’s time to assemble! According to Variety in a new report, Orphan Black will be making a return to television. The company learned that a new series is currently in development over on AMC, the home of The Walking Dead. If that wasn’t enough, we may see some familiar faces again.
According to sources, that the series was not being developed as a reboot nor a spinoff series. It was stressed that it would be a brand new stories within the BBC America universe of Orphan Black. There is currently no writer for the series nor anyone attached to star. Apparently the production team are looking to “bring in multiple people to pitch different takes on what the show could be”. While the same production team in place, it’s unclear if BBC America has any role in the series.
How exciting is this? Orphan Black was such a beloved show that garnered many fans. It’s risky to dive back into the world, especially if the show doesn’t include Tatiana Maslany. Since it appears to be so open ended, there’s endless possibilities how the series should go. If you had the ability to pitch a storyline to the producers, what would you choose? Are you already planning out more headcannons?
