This is a reboot we have all been waiting for! HBO has released a full teaser trailer for their upcoming reboot of Perry Mason. The courtroom drama stars Matthew Rhys as the famous criminal defense attorney willing to lay it all on the line to solve the crime. The series takes place in 1931 Los Angeles during the Great Depression. However, the city is on the rise with the boom of the oil industry, the growing film industry and the upcoming Olympic Games.
The Perry Mason trailer shows how Rhys’s character is ready to step outside of the law in order to find the truth while introducing exactly what kind of world we find ourselves in. John Lithgow, Tatiana Maslany, Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Stephen Root, Gayle Rankin, Nate Corddry, Veronica Falcon, Jefferson Mays, Lili Taylor, Andrew Howard, Eric Lange, and Robert Patrick also star in the HBO series.
Executive producers for Perry Mason are Amanda Burrell, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Ron Fitzgerald, Joe Horacek, Rolin Jones and Timothy Van Patten who also be directing. The co-executive producer is Aida Rodgers. Rhys is the producer of the series created by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald. Based on the characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner.
Perry Mason will debut on June 21, 2020 on HBO.
