We are only a week out from the premiere of Netflix’s new series Locke & Key. The show is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez. The novels are incredibly good and scary. It will be interesting to see how Netflix brings it to the screen,.
Locke & Key follows the Locke family after their father dies. To be more specific, the father was murdered. They move to their ancestral home in Matheson. The house, called the ‘Keyhouse’, is nothing short of creepy and it’s not long before the Locke family finds out that there is something nefarious going on in the house.
In the latest sneak peek trailer that Netflix dropped today, we see the Locke children try to adjust to their new town. They are going through a nightmare. Not only have they lost their father by violent means but they had to start a new school mid-year. Double tragic. In addition, Mom’s not the greatest at pep talks.
Soon after the Locke kids move in, they find out the Keyhouse has strange powers and abilities. They soon share this with some kids at school and, well, things happen. Scary things.
Check out the trailer below. Locke & Key airs on Netflix February 7th.
