We’re just a couple weeks away from the premiere for Marvel Studio’s next action spectacle, Thor: Ragnarok. The film will see Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) all teaming up to take on the ultimate threat to Asgard — Hela, the goddess of death, as played by Cate Blanchett.

As a promotional tool, the official Marvel Studios twitter account has celebrated something they are calling #Helaween for all of October. The promotional hashtag was created to encourage fans to post on their twitter accounts anything that’s related to Hela. We’ve seen an assortment of incredible fan art, cosplay, and even a Hela jack ’o lantern. So long as it revolves around Hela, Marvel wants to see it. However, today they released a fun piece featuring Blanchett encouraging the denizens of Twitter to follow their dreams and never give up because, one day, if you stay focused and work hard, even you could become — the goddess of death.

There’s no new footage in the piece, there’s no new revelations about the film. It’s simply a promotional tool to further generate the hype and keep people talking excitedly about the film. And, in this instance, it’s worked, because here we are talking about it. What makes this work isn’t the joke itself but Blanchett. She’s a serious actor who’s taken on some challenging roles and never failed to deliver. Yet, here she is, standing in front of a green screen, to do a :15 second twitter video about how her dreams have always been to be the goddess of death.

It’s a fun video. Go watch it. Then buy your tickets for Thor: Ragnarok.
