Today, Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy XV has gone gold, to celebrate they released a spectacular new trailer Omen.

Omen is a conceptual cinematic trailer created by the DIGI Pictures, the animation studio behind Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.  In it we see Noctis as he navigates a rapidly shifting world, enless enemies, and a madness that brings harm to his beloved, Lunafreya.  It can only be described as an omen for Noctis’ father, King Regis, of a future to be avoided at all costs.

I want to be clear here, this seems to be a separate story independent from the game or any of the other media.  This is not gameplay footage, or cut scene footage, it’s a gorgeous experiment inspired by the world of Final Fantasy XV.  Now, I wish this ends up in the final game, but not sure how likely that is.

Hell, I would be content with more full length, Final Fantasy animated movies.  I don’t care what game, or if it’s original, just give me visuals and action like we see here and in Kingsglaive.

Final Fantasy XV will release on November 29, 2016 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
