HBO teamed up with Hasbro to create the Game of Thrones themed Monopoly board game in 2017. A new edition is scheduled for release in January 2019. The new edition will feature a throne card holder that plays the theme song from the HBO series. Admit it, you just started singing the song, didn’t you?

The new edition will also features new game pieces and new money to play with. The new metallic pieces were inspired by the sigils of the Great Houses of Westeros. The dragon of the House Targaryen, the stag of House Baratheon, the lion of House Lannister, the direwolf of House Stark, the Golden Rose of House Tyrell, and the kracken of House Greyjoy. The money is in the form of Gold Dragon and Silver Stag coins. The Master of Coin holds the coins in the Royal Treasury, just like in the show.
The release of the new Game of Thrones Monopoly version comes just a few months before the premiere of the final season in April 2019. The game is available for pre-order from Amazon and GameStop. And available in retail stores in January.
