An new game show called Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge is heading exclusively to Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.
According to StarWars.com, the original game show is “set in a galaxy far, far away, will test young contestants’ abilities in the core Jedi principles of strength, knowledge, and bravery as they face thrilling and fun obstacles in an attempt to achieve the rank of Jedi Knight! From lightsabers to hyperspace, the Force, and the dark side, Jedi Temple Challenge transports viewers and contestants into the Star Wars galaxy like never before.”
Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge is aimed at kids. Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks in the prequel Star Wars movies, will be hosting the show. He will play a Jedi Master and a mentor to the contestants. Best will have a co-host, a humanoid droid companion voiced by Mary Holland.

Lucasfilm’s senior director of Online Content & Programming, Mickey Capoferri stated, “This is definitely a kids game show like no other. The various challenges will test a Padawan’s connection to the Force in three locations — a forest planet, on board a Jedi star cruiser, and inside a Jedi temple — immersing them and the audience in a fun, humorous, and exciting competition.”
Sounds like a blast. I’m 6 feet tall but I can pass for a kid, right?
Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge will air on Disney+ sometime in 2020.
