Their War Comes to Earth in New THE DARK TOWER Trailer

The new trailer for The Dark Tower is explosive. Based on the dark fantasy series by prolific author Stephen King, we get a better look at the war between our hero, the Gunslinger (Idris Elba) and the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey). The film will be less of an adaption and more influenced by the original material as the film is set to pull elements from across the series.

In a voiceover we hear that the tower is all that stands “between light and darkness”. We learn that there were many “knights” like the Gunslinger but he believes he’s the only one left. And the Gunslingers were the ones charged with protecting the tower. The Man in Black, however, wants to see the tower fall and promises that it will.

Lucky for fans, we’re graced with lots of gun-totting action. With bullet-physics running rampant, we’re bound to get a ton more awesome shots. We also get to see a bit more of their war coming to Earth. Not much as what we mostly get is the cliched darkening-sky-over-the-city shot. How will their war effect the humans on Earth? We’ll have to wait and see. At least we know it will be a great movie to look at!
