WHAT A GREAT DAY!

We’ve got our first teaser for the upcoming Second Season of Daredevil, the critically-acclaimed Marvel series produced by Netflix.

In it, we see the entire First Season of Daredevil summed up through clips of dialogue played over Sistine Chapel-like images that portray the transformation of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) from blind child to the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

It’s a teaser that plays upon the Catholic-infused mortality of the character and the blurred morality of what makes Matt Murdock’s vigilantism different from the criminals he subdues. This will be an even heavier theme this season as a new vigilante is in town — The Punisher, as played by Jon Bernthal.

And, as some of the rumors have suggested, it seems that the Punisher may in fact be the biggest antagonist of the season with the teaser showing a giant skull looming over Daredevil and his entire team.

Perhaps the biggest news out of this teaser is the actual release date. Last week, it was reported that the Second Season would premiere on March 25th, the day that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres. Instead, we see here that Daredevil will hit Netflix on March 18th, the weekend before the big DC film premieres.

We also have a new poster as well as a new synopsis for the season!

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
