New CRITICAL ROLE Live One Shot and Art Show Coming to Los Angeles January 2019

Julia Roth

Over the past year, Critical Role has surprised fans over and over again. First was the announcement that they were starting their own channel with brand new shows. Then that they were heading east for NYCC 2018 and hosting a live show for us east coast critters. This was followed by a trip across the pond to join the London critters for MCM London. The fun doesn’t stop there though! Yesterday they announced an upcoming event on their home turf of Los Angeles! The Art of Exandria will be the very first art show hosted and curated by Critical Role and will feature work from fans around the world. They also announced another live show coming up, Vox Machina: The Search for Grog!

Vox Machina: The Search for Grog isn’t going to be your typical live show, it is bringing back Vox Machina,  At the end of the last campaign, Grog took a card from the Deck of Many Things, an item from Dungeons and Dragons known to either grant players their greatest wish or kill them. Of course Grog’s card sent him straight to the Plane of Pandemonium. Matt Mercer did a fantastic job of quickly glossing over the events that transpired as the group went in and brought Grog back. We are finally going to get a chance to see what really happened on that rescue mission!

Most of the cast will step back into their roles however Travis Willingham and Liam O’Brien are going to be playing brand new characters! The live show will take place at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel at 9pm. VIP tickets will cost $250 and include a live Q&A prior to the show with Brian W. Foster and a goodie bag with a live show exclusive Vox Machina art piece and much more. General admission seats for the show start at $70. A timeline for the night is as follows:

6:00pm – VIP doors open

7:00pm – VIP-exclusive Q&A hosted by Brian W. Foster of Talks Machina

8:00pm – General Admission doors open

9:00pm – Showtime
