There are a lot of new books coming out every week. With New Release Radar, I’ll help you narrow down the week’s new book releases into the titles you should get excited about. This week, I have seven great books to share with you, including a few fantastic sequels. Read on!
Hungerstone by Kat Dunn
Lenore’s marriage to steel magnate Henry is crumbling, haunted by a terrible secret from his last hunt. When the mysterious Carmilla arrives after an accident near their country estate, Lenore is drawn to her intoxicating presence. At the same time, local girls begin falling ill with a strange hunger. As Lenore unravels the darkness within her home, she must choose between reclaiming her husband’s affection or surrendering to Carmilla’s deadly allure.
Hungerstone highlights the irresistible tension between fear and desire. Kat Dunn’s new book release is an overtly sapphic retelling of Carmilla that’s completely fresh while staying true to its roots.

Cursebound by Saara El-Arifi
Yeeran, a warrior unprepared for love, leaves her fae queen lover to face an old flame now threatening war. Meanwhile, her sister Lettle seeks to break the curse binding the fae, believing a mysterious stranger holds the key—though the Fates have gone silent. As tensions rise, the sisters must uncover the curse’s secret before their worlds collide in destruction.
In her sequel to 2024’s Faebound, Saara El-Arifi returns to the same lush and vivid fantasy world. Cursebound adds a great deal of depth with new characters and setting while remaining true to the original story.
The Antlered King by Marianne Gordon
Hellevir’s power to raise the dead once bound her to Princess Sullivain, protecting her at any cost—even as love and sacrifice took their toll. Now, with Sullivain consumed by power and the kingdom on the brink of civil war, Hellevir faces an impossible choice: save those she loves or break her soul-deep bond with the princess. To stop the war, she must uncover Death’s final riddle and decide who is truly worth saving.
The Antlered King is the dramatic conclusion to The Raven’s Trade duology. Marianne Gordon’s sequel picks up a few years after the events of The Gilded Crown, but the pacing is relentless and will have readers flipping pages fast.

I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming
Wildlife biology PhD candidate Dorothy Valentine is saved from a lion attack – only to be abducted by aliens. After crash-landing on a dinosaur-filled planet with her new lion companion, she’s rescued by the mysterious and sexy Sol and joins forces with the dangerous but alluring Lok. As they navigate prehistoric perils and uncover the truth behind their abduction, Dory finds herself caught between fate, adventure and an irresistible attraction.
Kimberly Lemming is back with another, steamy, laugh-out-loud romance. Instead of the fantasy creatures in her Mead Mishaps series, sexy aliens take center stage in I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com, and it’s another truly wild ride.
The Antique Hunter’s Death on the Red Sea by C.L. Miller
Freya Lockwood and Aunt Carole take on a high-stakes case when a stolen painting and a murder lead them aboard a luxury antiques cruise to the Red Sea. As they uncover a trove of stolen artifacts linked to Freya’s late mentor’s unsolved cases, they realize a dangerous art trafficker known as The Collector may be among them. With a killer on board and time running out, they must unmask the culprit before another murder occurs.
With strong Agatha Christie vibes and clearly a tone of research, The Antique Hunter’s Death on the Red Sea is perfect for fans of Sherlock Holmes and other classic mysteries. C.L. Miller’s new book release is a cozy but thrilling tale that promises even more adventures to come.

The Garden by Nick Newman
Elderly sisters Evelyn and Lily have spent their lives tending a secluded walled garden, guided only by their mother’s almanac, with no memory of the world beyond. Their quiet existence is upended, however, when they discover a nameless boy hiding in an abandoned house on their land. As they question his presence, they must confront buried secrets about themselves, their home and the truth of their reality.
The Garden is an eerie and hypnotic tale of isolation, truth and memory. New Newman’s adult fiction debut is perfect for fans of Piranesi, with elements of Grey Gardens and Flowers in the Attic thrown in as well.
Upon A Starlit Tide by Kell Woods
Luce Leon dreams of escaping her stifling life as the daughter of a wealthy ship-owner to sail the open seas. Only her friend, Samuel, an English smuggler, understands her longing, secretly teaching her to navigate the waters. But her dreams are upended when she rescues Morgan de Chatelaine, the son of Saint-Malo’s most powerful shipping family, from drowning. As she falls for Morgan’s adventurous spirit, Luce begins imagining a different future, one filled with possibility and romance. But beyond the grand ballrooms and stormy coastlines, dark forces stir. The fae are abandoning Brittany, taking their magic with them, while the ongoing war with England threatens the city’s safety. When long-buried secrets emerge from the depths of the ocean, Luce is thrust into a world of magic, danger and betrayal.
Upon a Starlit Tide is a beautiful and tragic retelling of familiar, classic fairytales. Kell Woods combines historical fiction with magic in a compelling and irresistable way.
