The Weekend Retreat by Tara Laskowski

The cover of The Weekend Retreat has a row of white Adirondack chairs looking out over the water. The sky above them is stormy.

The wealthy Van Ness siblings gather yearly for a joint birthday celebration, a luxurious tradition that gets them out of the public eye. But what should be the perfect escape turns ominous when a torrential rainstorm plunges the family into darkness. Will their secrets destroy them, or does a more immediate threat await beyond the vineyard gates?

The Weekend Retreat is a claustrophobic mystery centered on a vindictive family full of secrets. Tara Laskowski chips away at the family’s mask of perfection, sending them spiraling into drama in this fast-paced read.

Lucero by Maya Motayne

In the aftermath of Sombra’s return, Castallan plunges into chaos. Shadows create monstrous versions of loved ones, and war looms between Castallan and Englass. Prince Finn and the thief Alfie must unite once more to save their world by finding the scattered relics of Sombra’s body before he regains full strength. But with the laws of magic in flux and time itself changing, the two face a race against time if they’re going to restore balance and prevent the extinction of light in their world.

Familia by Lauren E. Rico

The cover of Familia is teal blue with a woman in profile standing in front of a city skyline. Her hair is dark and full of pink, orange, white, and brown flowers.

Fact-checker Gabby DiMarco believes in the truth above all else, but her entire life changes when a genealogy test reveals she has a sister. Meanwhile, artist Isabella Ruiz is thrilled to finally locate the baby sister she barely remembers. When Gabby agrees to meet in Puerto Rico, the newfound sisters risk everything they know for an uncertain future and a past full of surprises.

Lauren E. Rico combines family drama, a cold case and a genetic mystery in her first foray into the literary mainstream. Familia is an emotional and thought-provoking new book release you won’t want to miss.

Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross

As war looms over the city of Oath, Iris Winnow and Attie get another chance to report on Dacre’s movements. With Roman trapped without his memories in Dacre’s realm, he strikes up a correspondence with an unknown writer. As the conflict intensifies, Roman must decide whether to stand with the god who healed him or betray him for Iris. As the two grow closer, they risk their hearts and futures to alter the course of the war.

In the sequel to TikTok sensation Divine Rivals, rediscovered love takes center stage. Rebecca Ross’ Ruthless Vows is an epic conclusion to the Letters of Enchantment duology.
