In one of the most anticipated films of 2017, a new poster has been revealed for Beauty and the Beast and it’s incredible! It’s our first look at the full cast! Out of their CGI characters even! I may be more excited about this then I should be but it’s actually a surprising feature I did not expect we’d get.
Belle and Beast take the center and larger role on the poster and the bottom includes our merry group of supporting characters. Featured is Ewan McGregor as Lumière in the most ridiculous mustache and hair ever. Ian McKellen as Cogsworth looking quite dapper. Audra McDonald as Garderrobe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette looking beautiful. Stanely Tucci‘s new character, a piano named Cadenza, with some crazy hair. And Emma Thompson as the kind Mrs Potts. I believe the only one missing is Mrs Potts’ son, Chip. Luke Evans‘ Gaston, Jason Gad‘s LeFou and Kevin Kline‘s Maurice are also shown but we’ve seen them before.
I find it very interesting that we’re seeing these characters in live action for the first time in a poster. Not that I really expected their transformations to be hidden, but it’s a surprising move from Disney to include their appearances in this fashion versus the inanimate objects we remember them as, especially on the poster. The animated feature had them as the enchanted staff for the majority of the movie. Does this mean their live action counterparts will have a bigger role to play in the film?

The film will follow as the animated feature: Belle is a young woman taken prisoner in Beast’s enchanted castle. She befriends the castle’s staff and learns to look past the Beasts’ exterior to find his true heart. However, a hunter named Gaston plans to take Bella for himself and kill the Beast.
