New Ad Shows Off Just How Fast Quicksilver Is! Trust Us, Watch This!

Alright guys, forgive us.

We here at the Geek Girl Authority do not endorse this product and, frankly, are a little disgusted at ourselves that we are sharing an honest-to-god advertisement with you as a news story we are writing — but it’s REALLY flipping cool and we just had to.

The commercial features Quicksilver, played by Evan Peters himself, flirting with some other random mutant student in the X-Men school who is just DYING for faster broadband service. This sends Quicksilver into a high-speed action sequence where he runs faster than one of Cyclops optic blasts to prepare a candlelit date for the two of them while also turning off all of the devices hogging the broadband signal.

In fact, they actually got the likenesses of a few of the other X-Men: Beast, Storm and Nightcrawler. If you watch closely, none of the actors ever actually move, so it’s more than likely that they got really incredible cut-outs or found some way to stitch their likenesses in digitally.

On top of paying Evan Peters and the heavy coin needed for all of their effects, they had to pay each of those actors to use their likenesses, as well as paying licensing rights to Fox to use their characters.

This was NOT a cheap commercial to make.

It’s better if you just watch it.

However, this advertisement raises a question — is Storm good? Is she on the X-Men team by the end of the film?

In the trailers, she’s one of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, but here we see her chilling in the X-Mansion. We’ve also seen a picture of her standing with the whole X-Team in new costumes that ever-so-slightly resemble their costumes from the X-books.

No matter the answer, the best part of this trailer, aside from the sweet sweet action piece is seeing all of the mutants just hanging out in the X-Mansion.

Also, Nightcrawler. There would be no war if we just added more Nightcrawler.

Thanks to the brilliant good people at Comicbook.com for bringing this ad to our attention!
