It’s New Year’s Eve! Not only does that mean a new year is upon us, it also means the next Netflix lineup is here! January brings a lot of shows for both kids and adults to the streaming service.
For the kids, there’s a new season of Trolls: The Beat Goes On! (January 18) and the film release for Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (January 24). There is also a new version of Carmen Sandiego and The Incredibles II, both highlighted below.
In addition to new seasons of Z Nation and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, there are plenty of adult favorites coming to the streaming service. Old favorites and cult classics, like the entire Indiana Jones series and Pulp Fiction, arrive on January 1st. Keep reading for our highlights of anticipated shows along with the full list of what is coming and what is leaving Netflix this January!
Carmen Sandiego
From video game to game show, the lady in red has been lost in both time and space. Now, she comes to Netflix for a new generation! Carmen Sandiego (voiced by Gina Rodriguez) is still a villain, but now she “uses her skills for good” and “travels the world foiling V.I.L.E.’s evil plans — with help from her savvy sidekicks.” Get ready for a new take on a childhood favorite on January 18th!

Solo: A Star Wars Story
The Han Solo origin story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, finally comes to Netflix! Find out how Han (Alden Ehrenreich) and Chewie (Joonas Suotamo) first meet, how Han meets Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and gets the Millennium Falcon, and watch their infamous Kessel Run! The movie is a classic heist film set in the Star Wars universe and it also stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Woody Harrelson (Venom). Solo: A Star Wars Story flies into Netflix on January 9th.

Ant-Man and the Wasp
Now that Marvel‘s Avengers: Infinity War has come to Netflix, find out what Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) was up to during the big battle with Thanos (Josh Brolin). Ant-Man and the Wasp is set simultaneously alongside Infinity War, but on the opposite side of the US. After the fallout from Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang has had to hang up his Ant-Man suit. However, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) convince him to slip his house arrest and help them with a secret task. Much like the first, this sequel contains plenty of comedy blended with the heroic adventure to keep everyone entertained. Ant-Man and the Wasp crashes to Netflix on January 29th.

The Incredibles 2
Grab your super-suit and get ready for the return of the Incredibles! The superhero family is finally back with a new adventure! Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) takes the public spotlight and leaves Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) to be a stay-at-home father raising Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (Huck Milner), and baby Jack-Jack (Eli Fucile). Returning alongside the family is everyone’s favorite characters, Lucius/Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) and Edna Mode (Brad Bird). Catch the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 hit on January 30th.
