As we say adieu to the month of October, we clean our streets of the remnants of Halloween and evidence of the ghouls and goblins that went traipsing door to door demanding candy in exchange for not vandalizing our homes. Whether you passed out candy or left that porch light off and ignored the demonic squeals and screams of what can only be described as happy little children on sugar, we hope that your All Hallows Eve was a success, by whatever definition fits you. Why not celebrate that success with that leftover candy and a date with Netflix? October brought plenty of scary options, but maybe we can tempt you into some early holiday cheer?

As November arrives, new favorites join the lineup. There is plenty coming to be thankful for, and plenty more to keep the kids occupied while you cook that Thanksgiving meal. Some of our top picks are highlighted below, but also be aware that Marvel has decided to grace us with some of their animated movies, like Planet Hulk and Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, as well as release Doctor Strange back to Netflix! There will also be a new holiday special for the My Little Pony fans and a new season of Beat Bugs for the littlest of the littles.

So what are we excited to see?

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

The first highlight for November’s Netflix line up is perfect for kids of all ages! She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is a reboot of the 1980s classic spin-off in the Masters of the Universe (He-Man!) series. Adora (voiced by Aimee Carrero) is just like all the other girls: she fights in the army called the Evil Horde and aspires to conquer the rest of the lands. Except, she doesn’t really know that she’s a princess, part of the Princesses of Power that the Horde fight against. However, once she wields the Sword of Protection, she transforms into She-Ra and the adventure begins. DreamWorksTV and Netflix bring She-Ra and the Princesses of Power to life on November 16

The Christmas Chronicles

Kurt Russell (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) dons the famous Big Red Suit in the new Netflix original film, The Christmas Chronicles! Siblings Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis) try to capture Santa (Kurt Russell) on camera and inadvertently cause a little mishap for the sleigh. They must then team up with Ol’ Saint Nick to save Christmas! It’s every kids’ dream come true! Written by Matt Lieberman (writer of 2019’s upcoming The Addams Family) and based on an idea by David Guggenheim (producer Designated Survivor), The Christmas Chronicles is directed by Clay Kaytis (animation Wreck It Ralph), and produced by Chris Columbus (producer Harry Potter). The new holiday favorite crashes to Netflix on November 22nd.

House of Cards

The final season of House of Cards is here! Robin Wright takes command as Claire Underwood, the first female president. With former President Frank Underwood’s (Kevin Spacey) death pretty clearly referenced in the trailer, it appears the new President Underwood has a clean slate to work with during Season 6. Or does she? With Frank out of the way, will his past transgressions rise up to haunt Claire? It’s quite evident that she is already facing an uphill battle to remain in the oval office, so we should really ask: how far will she go to keep her new position? The sixth and final season of House of Cards comes to Netflix on November 2nd.
