If you are anything like us, you are still waking up every morning and going to sleep every night thinking about Stranger Things. Netflix released Matt and Ross Duffer‘s fourth season of the sci-fi epic in two parts, volume one and volume two. This means we got the first seven episodes, a ton of lore and one hell of a cliffhanger. Now we are all stuck waiting for the final two episodes to grace the streaming service and put us all out of our misery. That is until we have to wait until season five to roll around. But we will deal with that when the time comes. Thankfully the Duffer brothers and Netflix are giving us little bread crumbs to get through these last few weeks.
During Netflix’s GEEKED WEEK 2022, we got the teaser trailer for Stranger Things volume two and today; we got some first-look photos from episodes eight and nine. And wow, oh wow, are these good. The images range from El (Millie Bobby Brown) still in her Project Nina gear and then her alongside Dr. Brenner “Papa” (Matthew Modine). We also get a glimpse of Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and Argyle (Eduardo Franco) probably making their way to El thanks to Suzie’s (Gabriella Pizzolo) tremendous computer hacking skills.

But those aren’t the only Stranger Things groups we get the chance to see. It seems that Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Murray (Brett Gelman) and Dmitri “Enzo” (Tom Wlaschiha) are surprised to see something. Or at least a bit confused. But most importantly, it looks like they have made it out of prison. And finally, the final four pictures feature the Hawkins crew. We see a mix of Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Robin (Maya Hawke), Eddie (Joseph Quinn), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Max (Sadie Sink) and Erica (Priah Ferguson).
We will be the first to say thank the Upside Down that Nancy is safe – for now. The final episode of volume one left her fate up in the air as Vecna reminded her about the guilt she has been living with over Barb’s (Shannon Purser) death in season one. We expect episode eight to kick off with Steve and the others trying to find her favorite song and buying her time just like they did with Max. What are the chances that Nancy also loves Kate Bush‘s “Running Up That Hill?” Season four of Stranger Things has divided this dysfunctional found family across the world, and unfortunately, these photos don’t show them all together again. But maybe there is a chance that all portals into the Upside Down lead to Hawkins?
The final two episodes of Stranger Things season four will hit Netflix on July 1, 2022. Check out the volume two first-look photos below. If you haven’t jumped on the Stranger Things bandwagon – what are you waiting for? Binge all four seasons right here! What are your theories for the season four finale episodes?
