Out of Variety today, we’ve learned that Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, has given a presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour confirming that their next Marvel series, Jessica Jones, will definitely premiere by the end of 2015. This has been expected to be the case, but here we finally have confirmation of it.

But wait, more was said. Sarandos also gave their schedule for all of the upcoming Marvel series, at least in terms of their expected release dates, saying that a new series will start up every six months.

And what about that Defenders cross-over we’ve all been promised? Sarandos had an answer to that too, saying that once all four of the series have premiered, then they’ll start the crossover. However, some of these shows will have multiple seasons in between, as we’re seeing with Daredevil getting a season two and airing early next year.

They also showed a clip from Jessica Jones. And by clip, we mean not really much of anything according to Variety. “Jessica Jones walking down a street” shouldn’t count for much, but, honestly, it’s Marvel, so of course we’re all jealous of the people in the room!

Using the six month rule laid out today, we can expect to see Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter, sometime in October. Both Jessica Jones and Daredevil are currently filming.
