It’s a great day to be a Resident Evil fan. This morning we got our first teaser for the upcoming Netflix series giving us a look at what we can expect with this new version of Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick) and the Umbrella Corp. And while we did get a few clips of him, the teaser heavily focused on his daughters Jade and Billie and the sheer amount of monsters we can expect to encounter. This second teaser gives us a better look at Wesker and what Umbrella is up to before the inevitable end of the world.

If you were curious about the little bear that appeared in the first teaser, the new Resident Evil one answers that question right away. The bear’s name is Joy, and she is the mascot for the miracle pill. Wesker gives us the rundown on what this miracle pill can cure, like OCD, anxiety and even fix focus issues. Sounds great, right? That is until Wesker drops the bomb that this little happy pill continues the T-Virus. If you are a long-time fan of the franchise, you know that the T-Virus is bad news. It creates monsters.

Similar to the first teaser, the second half of this one is packed with horror. Zombies, mutated dogs, lickers and a giant centipede-looking monster that we know will rough up Jade’s day. Again, everything we want in a Resident Evil TV show. They are heavily leaning into the horror side of the franchise, and we are here for it. The teaser also gives us just enough of the story to keep us invested in the long haul. How does Wesker’s little happy pull ruin the world? What happens to New Raccoon City? Will we see anyone else from the franchise make a guest appearance?

Alongside Reddick, Resident Evil stars Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nuñez. We will also be seeing Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery.

Resident Evil will launch on Netflix starting July 14, 2022. Check out the second teaser down below! What do you think happens to New Raccoon City? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
