We’ve been good this week, or so Netflix believes. I’m not going to argue with them. As a reward, they have dropped eight new images for the finale season of Castlevania. I accept, as do I think everyone else does. Over the last few weeks, we have gotten two new trailers and a bit more information on what we can expect to see. And while the images don’t give us much context (or any really), they are simply fantastic.
The eight images give us a closer look at Trevor (Richard Armitage) and Sypha (Alejandra Reynoso). There is also a rather fancy action shot of Alucard (James Callis) in new armor. And speaking of armor, Striga’s (Ivana Milicevic) battle gear is fierce and I love the image with her and Morana (Yasmine Al Massri). We get shots of Carmilla (Jamie Murray), Isaac (Adetokumboh M’Cormack) and Hector (Theo James) and Lenore (Jessica Brown Findlay). And the final image? It’s of Saint Germain (Bill Nighy)! The last we saw him, he was jumping into the infinite corridor. I really hope that this isn’t a flashback and we will see him once again.
The final season of Castlevania takes us back to the beginning as Wallachia collapses into chaos and factions clash. Some people are attempting to control the world while others just can’t seem to let Dracula (Graham McTavish) rest in peace. No one is who they seem and no one can be trusted. The true end times are upon us.
