So, what does Geeked Week entail? Here’s the scoop straight from Netflix:
The first-ever Geeked Week runs June 7-11, giving fans a wide array of exclusive news, new trailers, live art, drop-ins from your favorite stars and much more about all your favorite Netflix series and films. The five-day event is completely virtual and completely free so you can get in on the action whenever you want from wherever you are in the world.
Now, the virtual event will take place across all of Netflix’s social media platforms. Popular shows to be featured include The Umbrella Academy, Lucifer, The Witcher, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Castlevania, The Sandman, The Cuphead Show!, Resident Evil, Cowboy Bebop, Sweet Tooth and more. This event is wholly free of charge. Fans can expect exclusive trailers, news, celebrity cameos and live art.
Additionally, if you can’t tune in you can always get your geeky news fix at GeekedWeek.com, which will be updated with the latest info coming out of the event. The objective is to connect fans from around the world and revel in the excitement drummed up by these properties.
Think of this as Netflix’s own mini comic-con. It’s a wonderful way to foster connections over the things we love amid these uncertain times. Plus, who doesn’t want trailers, news and visits from our favorite stars? Perhaps this can somewhat fill the void left in the wake of no official SDCC event in July.
Geeked Week will take our week by storm from June 7 to June 11. Be sure to keep your eyes on Netflix’s Geeked accounts for more information as it becomes available.
