Patience pays off, friends. And we have been extra patient when it comes to news on Netflix’s The Mightnight Club. And during the first day of Netflix GEEKED WEEK 2022, we were rewarded! We didn’t just get news; we got our first look at Mike Flanagan‘s upcoming series based on Christopher Pike‘s novel of the same name. And while it is short, it sure does pack a punch.

The Midnight Club follows a group of terminally ill teenagers who live at a hospice called Rotterdam Home. To help pass the time and deal with their inevitable deaths, they form a club that meets at midnight. During one of their meetings, they make a pact that the first of them to die will try to make every effort to contact the others from the great beyond. Spooky right? Definitely spooky.

In the trailer for The Midnight Club, we get our first look at Rotterdam Home and the club members as they toast the seen or unseen, here or not here. As the lights darken, we see creatures emerging from the shadows behind the club members, giving us both sides to this terrifying tale. I am excited to see this story come to life, and knowing that Mike Flanagan, the reigning king of horror on Netflix, is bringing it to life has given me chills. All the goosebumps.

The Midnight Club members will be portrayed by Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard and Sauriyan Sapkota. They will be joined by familiar faces Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan and Matt Biedel.

The Midnight Club will hit the streaming platform on October 7, 2022. Check out the new poster art and trailer down below! What are you most excited to see? Have you read the original novel? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
