Never trash a man’s stache. During Netflix’s GEEKED WEEK 2022, we found out just how strongly a man feels about his facial hair and getting his mission done in a band new clip for The Gray Man. The action thriller by directors Anthony and Joe Russo is an adaptation of Mark Greaney‘s debut novel. The clip is packed with action, mystery, lies, drama and tons of quippy banter. And while it clocks in under two minutes, it provides us with just how exciting this movie is going to be.

The Gray Man clip kicks off like any good action movie does – with some good old fighting. Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling) is trying to make his way out of a building when he finds himself going head to head with Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans). Gentry seems to be out of luck when Lloyd hits him with some pepper spray and the bantering begins. Llyod calls Gentry sunshine (we love cute pet names) and Gentry insults Llyod’s stache and white pants.

But things get tense when Llyod demands to know where the drive is. But Gentry isn’t out of jokes just yet and drops a bomb on Llyod. A literal hand grenade. The two head off in different directions and things seem to calm down for The Gray Man clip. That is until Llyod shows back up and takes a few shots at Gentry who really just wants to know Llyod’s shoe size. Before things get out of hand, Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) shows up and tranqs Lloyd.

It’s epically funny yet so satisfying in the action department. Seeing Gosling and Evans bicker back in forth in this short clip gives me hope for the full film. Plus, it is great to see Evans in a role that doesn’t scream “I’m the good guy!” Who knew he could be so evil? Alongside Gosling, Evans and de Armas, The Gray Man stars Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thornton, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush, Wagner Moura and Alfre Woodard.

The Gray Man is set to hit theaters first on July 15, 2022, before dropping on Netflix on July 22, 2022. Check out the exclusive GEEKED WEEK 2022 clip down below. Who do you think has the better banter? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
