We have hit the final day of Netflix’s GEEKED WEEK 2022, and it’s all about game franchises. Netflix has taken tv adaptations of video games to a whole new level over the last few years, and it looks like they aren’t stopping anytime soon. The very first trailer shared during the showcase comes from BioWare‘s beloved franchise Dragon Age. The next addition comes in the form of the animated series Dragon Age: Absolution.

Over the last few years, it was highly speculated that Netflix would be putting together a Dragon Age series, and they have finally confirmed it. But that wasn’t all. They shared an official teaser packed with incredible animation, excitement and nostalgia from beginning to end. Dragon Age: Absolution will feature Mairghread Scott as the showrunner and will be produced by Red Dog Culture House.

Dragon Age: Absolution is set in Tevineter and will feature an ensemble of new characters inspired by Dragon Age lore. BioWare and Netflix have shared that they have stayed authentic to the lore already created in the video game franchise and plan on expanding it further. Gamers will be able to recognize elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons and other special surprises when the series airs.

Now that the news is out, we expect to see more announcements surrounding Dragon Age: Absolution over the next few months.
