If you’ve been putting off binging Netflix’s psychological thriller series, You, you might want to jump on that train real soon because it’s coming back for a long awaited second season.

Inspired by Caroline Kepnes‘ novel of the same name, You saw bookstore manager and occasional serial killer Joe (Penn Badgley) who falls hard for customer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail). What starts off as a crush quickly turns into an obsession as Joe uses social media and every tool at his disposal to insert himself into Beck’s life as much as possible. He even goes so far as to remove any obstacle that stands in his way. Including people.

The new season will follow the plot of Kepnes’ sequel novel to You, entitled Hidden Bodies, where Joe moves from New York to Los Angeles and tries to blend in. While constantly looking over his shoulder Joe finds another woman to obsess over in a darkened room in Soho House. And he’s more desperate than ever to keep his secrets buried. He really doesn’t want to hurt his new girlfriend. But if she ever finds out what he’s done, he may not have a choice.
