This is the mashup we all needed. Artist Michael Pasquale aka 800 Pound Productions shared an unbelievably cute work of Star Wars meets My Neighbor Totoro! I just want to paste it everywhere and scream to the roof tops how amazing this is!
Inspired by the 4 foot tall porgs on raffle during Force Friday II, he placed our new favorite beings in the Miyazaki world. Rey and BB-8 stand by a verrry large porg, clearly indifferent to the rain. We also see that the artist took inspiration from the production photos we saw of Daisy Ridley on location shared during Celebration Orlando. Granted, chibi Rey is more happy with the rain.

To be quite frank, My Neighbor Totoro is my favorite Miyazaki film. Period. And to see it mashed up with the new Star Wars saga just makes my heart explode in joy. It wants me to break into a rendition of “My Favorite Things”, but I’ll spare you the trauma.
