NBC Renews BROOKLYN NINE-NINE for Seventh Season

NINE-NINE! NBC announced that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been renewed for a second season on their network and the seventh season overall. B99 Twitter posted this video of an NBC exec making the announcement to the cast and crew. 

Last year, the fate of B99 season six was uncertain when FOX cancelled the series. NBC quickly picked up the show that is already produced and filmed on their lot. The sixth season has been doing very well, averaging a 1.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers, according to Variety

“It’s been one of our great joys as a network to give Brooklyn Nine-Nine a second life,” said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, Co-Presidents of Scripted Programming, NBC Entertainment. “Cheers to (producers) Dan Goor, Mike Schur, Luke Del Tredici and David Miner. And our amazing cast and crew who each week turn New York’s finest into New York’s funniest.”

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Joel McKinnon Miller, and Dirk BlockerOG cast member Chelsea Peretti left the series in season six, episode four.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Thursdays on NBC!
