Okay. I can’t stop cringing and I can’t stop laughing. I’m not one for blood and gore, unless it’s extremely campy and unreal, and this is just ridiculous enough to give me the giggles. Behold, Home Alone with blood.
Every holiday season, I have a conversation with someone about Home Alone. And, every time, it’s because I just can’t believe that these two dudes would incur all of these extreme injuries without shedding a drop of blood. ‘I don’t buy it’, I say. ‘You lost me’, I say. Well, I should be careful what I wish for, because now, there will be blood.
Youtuber BitMassive gives us Home Alone with blood. And, that’s exactly what it is. We get four short scenes from Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, with reality added. Splats, sprays, burns, skull crushing… the truth of the frailty of human life in a hilarious way. BitMassive takes a little creative license with some of the narrative to fit his gory agenda. I’m not mad about it. Not to mention Catherine O’Hara’s blood curdling ‘Kevin!’ to launch each scene.
