Disney took a page out of Warner Bros. playbook and delayed the release of Mulan today. Bill & Ted Face the Music also rescheduled the release date along with Russell Crowe‘s Unhinged. It’s like a domino effect. When one films pushes back the release date, others follow suit. Here’s a rundown of the changes:

Broken Hearts Gallery starring Dacre Montgomery and Geraldine Viswanathan will be the first new movie of the summer, premiering on July 17.
Unhinged moves from July 10 to July 31.
Mulan moves from July 25 to August 21.
Bill & Ted Face the Music moves from August 12 to August 28, the same premiere date for New Mutants.
Another film shifting release dates is Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, starring Michael B. Jordan. The film moves from October 2 to February 26, 2021. According to Variety, that decision has more to do with the Wonder Woman 1984 shift to October 2.
It appears Mulan won’t be first big summer blockbuster of 2020. However all of these dates are subject to change. With the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases, it’s a sure bet the films will be pushed back yet again. Keep checking back with Geek Girl Authority for all of the latest movie news.
