Hold on to your Nether garments; at SDCC 2024, NetherRealms Studios officially announced the contents of the newest Mortal Kombat DLC, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns. Here is everything to expect from the next wave of MK content, including the official release trailer.
Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns
The long-whispered rumors are finally confirmed: Ghost Face from the Scream franchise will officially join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster. Joining the infamous serial killer are T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Conan the Barbarian. Cyrax, Sektor and Noob Saibot are also included though there are some major changes.

Additionally, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns boasts new chapters, complete with stunning cinematic stories. As usual, pre-ordering has its perks. Pre-order Khaos Reigns and receive four new costumes, including Wedding Scorpion, Empress Mileena, and MK3 versions of Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot.
How to Get It
If you already own Mortal Kombat 1 you can choose the expansion option for $39.99 on Nintendo Switch and $49.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. This essentially upgrades your version of the game to include everything in Khaos Reigns.

Furthermore, if you haven’t already purchased Kombat Pack 1, a 10-dollar bundle will include everything in Khaos Reigns and the first Kombat Pack.
Note that these options do not include the base game, and Mortal Kombat 1 must be purchased first (if you do not already have it).
Animalities
Last but certainly not least is the free update that brings back the Animality Finishers we have not seen since Mortal Kombat 3. Each fighter will turn into a different animal before bringing their opponent to their bloody demise.
