Despite the delay in production for the entire Dead-verse, AMC released the first teaser trailer for Fear the Walking Dead. The teaser ends with the announcement that Fear TWD will premiere this summer, however, Comicbook.com reports only six episodes were filmed before the shutdown.
The last time we saw Morgan Jones (Lennie James) on Fear TWD, he was about to get eaten by a group of walkers. In the first teaser trailer for season 6, it’s unclear if Morgan made it out alive. But as always, there is still hope.
The Fear TWD family was taken…or saved by Ginny (Colbie Minifie) and her pioneers. She promised to give them a better life in the apocalypse. However, there was just one caveat to her deal with Morgan to save his people: Morgan had to die. Ginnie shot Morgan and left him for dead at the end of season five.
Some things that stand out from this teaser is the appearance and introduction of Sherry (Christine Evangelista), Dwight’s (Austin Amelio) wife. Ginny said she knew where Sherry was and it looks like the lovebirds are reunited.
There is a group of masked bandits in the teaser. They are the people on horseback chasing down Al’s (Maggie Grace) S.W.A.T. van. Do those masked bandit work for Ginny? Maybe not, Ginny was giddy when she took possession of the S.W.A.T. van. Maybe Morgan’s group are the masked ones, trying to take back their freedom. If there’s one thing we know about this group, its that you can’t keep them down for long.
And finally, Morgan voices over the Fear TWD trailer with a message. He tells the others that they weren’t just doing what was right. They were fighting for the future. They made the hard all for them all. And if they can hear him, they just need to live.
Fear TWD also stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, (Danay Garcia, Ruben Blades, Alexa Nisenson, Karen David, Mo Collins, Daryl Mitchell, and Colby Holman.
